long story short, I decided to try and move by the end of september. then cohost announced the coming end literally the day after I started in earnest. (also it is the end of september and I haven't even gotten approved, let alone moved. lmao.) so in a time of great stress and busy days and increased work hours, I have not had time to cook up an exit strategy I like. frankly like most cohosters I am loathe to go to twitter/bsky/masto/etc., especially since I'd have to get on most of those to keep following peeps, and none of them let me do the writing and effortful posting I did on cohost. so I want to spin up a blog in the worst, busiest time in my life. oops!
luckily, ADHD + 13 years of public schooling has given me much experience in doing things at the last possible second. also luckily, rss is not that hard. I just got home from work, and it's about an hour to midnight here, so I decided I'd at least get an rss feed on my account before the end. I used everest pipkin's excellent handmade rss guide, and got both the feed itself and this post together in less than 30 minutes. It's just raw html and xml, and you just have to copy/paste the provided code and fill in details to do it yourself.
anyway, if you have any interest in the things I occasionally did post on cohost, or you would like to read my many, many thoughts on obscure games for number-crunching sickos like myself, or recommendations for the weird media I love, it will (eventually) be on this rss feed. enjoy this placeholder-explainer in the meantime, okay?
you can jump back to my home page here and contact info page here. check back soon, I might end up on critter.cafe or the website league somewhere. you're also totally welcome to chat me up, though I will warn you I do not keep Discord or social media on my phone, so I'm not gonna answer at all hours of the day.
